Our Name
Oxum's name is inspired by a river goddess named Oshun.
According to the story, Oshun was sent to Earth to create life and bring love, water, sensuality, and compassion.
When Oshun left, all the water disappeared and so did life and love. But upon her return, the world became fertile and beautiful again.
Oshun is both a creator and a healer, representing everything lush, fertile, and good in our world.
We are honored to call our Brand Oxum and connect the name from this powerful story, telling us how important it is to allow ourselves to care about nature and don’t let Oshun leave our hearts.
